We are UNAM’s Food Sustainability Program — an institutional think tank dedicated to cultivating the future of food systems.
PUAS was established in 2021 to identify, connect, and promote the university’s research, teaching, and outreach related to sustainable food systems. As one of the five programs within the university’s Scientific Research Subsystem, we build on four decades of academic work in food science initiated by our predecesor, the Programa Universitario de Alimentos.
